a humble reference to the sun in Japanese,
it is Tento’s wish that these chocolates will bring
a bit of sunshine to your everyday life.
Tento was dreamt into being by
a traditional Japanese confectionery in Nikko, Nisshodo,
partly in response to modern tastes,
which have changed with the times.
Through our chocolates, we hope to deliver a different
and pleasurable way of experiencing the new era.
As such, Tento marks the start of a new beginning
for Nisshodo, with an offering that both satisfies
modern tastes but also embodies the time-honored
traditions of Japan.

Our chocolates were inspired by the sun. You’ll notice they also give off a glint when viewed from different angles. We use chocolate manufactured by Valrhona in France.
